Jo gained her qualifications in Architecture and Interior Design in Glasgow and Edinburgh and has contributed to many award winning architectural and interior design projects as both Program and Project Manager. These include the St Enoch Retail Centre Glasgow, The Buchanan Centre Glasgow; Strathclyde University Graduate Business School (won in competition) Wythinshaw and Hereford Hospitals, Broadwood Football Stadium and Oxgangs Library Edinburgh.
Jo moved to the client environment and joined Cedel Bank Luxembourg as Project Director responsible for all Logistics related projects which included Construction, Organisational Change and IT. This portfolio included projects in Luxembourg, London, New York, Hong Kong and Dubai.
After a spell in Mozambique, Africa, Jo concentrated on Healthcare Projects where she was a key member of the project management teams on two multi-million Pound (Sterling) hospital developments in Hereford and Wythinshaw, UK. Wythinshaw was managed using PRINCE2® methodology and was awarded APM Project of the year in 2002
Jo and Kenn Dolan founded FPMS, International Management Consultants and Training Providers, in 1999. Jo now focuses on bringing together the powerful combination of people, process and technology to tap into, and harvest, the intellectual and creative potential within organisations and developing their program and project management capability using international best practices.
A founding member of the SA chapter of the PMI, Jo was chapter vice president 2004 -2006.

Kenn Dolan

After graduating with an Honours Degree in Civil Engineering from Imperial College, University of London, Kenn took on a number of roles as a contractor and consultant within the UK construction industry. He gained a wealth of project management experience through a series of environmental and construction projects including the European Commission Development in Luxembourg and the redevelopment of the Matola Jetty in Mozambique.
With this diversity of experience and background Kenn joined the Construction Management Research Unit at Dundee University Scotland as a consultant and advisor to the construction industry on project management and productivity. During this period Kenn demonstrated improvements in productivity and efficiency in excess of 35% through the effective implementation of best practice project management techniques on projects with a combined value of $300million.
As Program Manager with NEL (National Engineering Laboratory) Kenn introduced a project management approach to the research and development environment and designed and presented a dual track project management development program based on PRINCE2 for the staff of 200 to manage the R&D projects that were undertaken on behalf of the Oil, Gas and Water industries. The program was so successful that project success rate increased by 40% within a 9-month period.
Kenn holds the distinction of being the first fully accredited MSP Trainer and Consultant outside of the UK and FPMS the first APMG Accredited Consulting and Training Organsiation in the Asia Pacific Region. He has coached and mentored senior executives in over 20 countries through the process of creating their organization’s PMO capability and establishing an effective environment to deliver the planned strategic benefits.
A much sought after Keynote speaker at international conferences, Kenn has been instrumental in raising awareness of PRINCE2 and MSP in the Australasian markets.
Kenn has stood as a committee member for the Institution of Civil Engineering, Association of Project Management (UK) and Australian Institute for Project Managers.
