Communication - Performance skills to unlock your personal style

The challenges of leadership today are greater than ever before. History tells us that in times of great turbulence and pressure, in times of complexity and uncertainty, that the great leaders who emerge are great communicators.

We know that as leaders we have to connect with the hearts and minds of our people, we have to paint powerful visions of the future that they can identify with and support.

We know that in every moment of communication, we need to reach a high level of connection and authenticity if we are to be effective, to be believed, to be followed with enthusiasm, to make a difference in the world.

As leaders in our organizations, whether business, public service or our own business, communicating has become ever more challenging in today's world where the people we need to reach are overloaded. We are fast becoming an “attention economy”.

In this so-called “Age of Information”, leaders need to become the story-tellers of our futures.

"Presentation and Performance Skills for Leaders" has been developed by The Speakers Studio, with over 12 years experience in innovative methods in achieving break-through results with speakers from all walks of life, in many different roles and contexts, from coaching corporate bids worth millions of dollars to interview skills for important positions.

This is not a program about improving power point presentations! It is quite the opposite – it is about unlocking your own personal style and enabling you to truly perform, rather than just present, in a wide variety of speaking contexts.

The Speakers Studio approach integrates a range of interactive learning methods, including many used by our top actors to unlock your performance potential.

Leadership – Develop the art and science of Pioneership

The Lionheart Philosophy

  • With the right vision, the team will be focused.
  • With the right plan, the team will be synchronised.
  • With the right resources, the team will be effective.
  • With the right processes, the team will be efficient.

But of paramount importance, any deficiency in the vision, plan, resources or processes will be overcome by a team comprising the right individuals .

The Lionheart Approach

There are three levels of leadership: Individual, team and organisational. Lionheart fixes individual issues first, then optimises team results and finally enhances organisational performance.

Each program is developed collaboratively and in detail with you, including your other service providers, in order to meet your specific needs.

The outcome is a team in which all members demonstrate leadership.

Testimonials

‘In more than 30 years military service, none of the many leadership courses I've done explained better or more simply, concepts for success than Richard Bosi's presentations. His punchy style can be confronting one minute, moving the next and inspirational a moment later and it always leaves you thinking and wanting more… ‘

- Lieutenant Commander Glenda Shaw RAN 2005
Awarded the Conspicuous Service Cross

‘I'm still buzzing from last night's presentation on leadership by Richard Bosi. Presentations on leadership are a dime-a-dozen so why was this one different? Richard is obviously well read, and time in Australia's Special Forces as a Lieutenant Colonel hasn't harmed him either. What I saw and experienced last night engaged the heart, the lion heart, because of the integrity with which it was presented.

  • We were not told what to do.
  • We were not given a rehash of other people's ideas.
  • We did not sit idly by and listen.

Instead, Richard Bosi shared his view of leadership in a manner that let you take what worked for you and leave what didn't. Leadership showing deep respect for those in the room.'

- David C. Buchan, Business and Life Coach 2005
