Project Assurance
The role of Project
Assurance has been designed to provide senior management with confidence
that the project environment has been established and is maintained throughout
the project life-cycle. This function audits the management environment
at key points.
FPMS undertake the
Project Assurance role through:
Project Initiation
Document (PID) Audits
FPMS audit the PID to ensure that the project environment has been fully
developed. FPMS advise the Project Board (senior management) before the
decision is made to Authorise the Project (DP2).
Quality Review
s
FPMS chair the review process to ensure that Quality Reviews are undertaken
in a consistent manner. FPMS also monitor the review and advise the Senior
User of the results.
Stage Boundaries
FPMS independently assess the project performance at these milestones.
The Business Case and the Project Plan are assessed for changes which
may affect the viability of the project.
Controlling Progress
Highlight Reports and progress data are independently analysed.
